On March 27th 1951 Vacuumatic Ltd was registered, owned by Portals the Security Paper Maker. Vacuumatic was formed to produce a paper counting machine from a Swedish patented design that had been purchased by Portals. In November of the same year the first prototype paper counting machine was on a 1 month extensive trial at Portals Security Paper Mill in Overton UK.Since 1951 Vacuumatic have been pioneering the development of machinery to automatically count and batch sheets of paper with 100% accuracy.With an ever changing market Vacuumatic have been at the forefront in designing and developing count control equipment for the paper and printing industries. In recent years machines for counting board and plastic along with marking devices for the Web Industry have also been produced.
